Sounds like a cool book...will have to check it out. I love this song too...reminds me of a movie I saw a long time ago about the end of the world (due to nuclear war) and the final moments with the lead characters holding each other. The man says "we'll be diamonds" and the woman says "diamonds?" and the movie ends. Grass...diamonds...whatever we end up being once we're gone...and the idea that we can meet those we love on the other side: good enuf for me! |

I agree with Katra people too busy with their own lives to let each other in, "boundlessness deceives me"...the idea that so many options are available that to choose one would limit one's experience so just keep playing the field never settling down to experience the deeper levels of love. I luuuuuv this song! Gorgeous melody and bittersweet lyrics--bound to be a classic torch song. |
