Hmmm..what comes to mind when i listen to this song is a woman who is running from her past [you know shes only trying to begin again] as a criminal, or someone who has escaped from an abusive marriage.. (ya know, like those moveis you see of woman running away and working at diners and then their abusive alcoholic husbands come to find them again..?). Perhaps she got a phone call, or made a phone call that brought up something from her past.
other than that, i think she is getting tired of the poor working conditions, and eventually snaps which is where LordHiggles opinion comes in.. maybe she robs the restraunt [and the manager is quiet as she/fumbles with the drawer/ /no he said no he said/you will never get away with this]. and the very last line talks about how we are all searching for something.. and we'll find away. i dont know. just my thoughts... |

This is such a great song. When i listen to it i get the sarcastic feeling ManInTheHall talks about.
And everytime it comes on i picture Chad with this HUGE grin on his face, like he had at the concert in portland when they sang this song. It was so great. |
