i do have manic depression, like jimi, and i'm a musician in and out, like jimi. so here's how this all goes with manic depression u have huge highs that u get really hyper, sweaty, twitchy, etc. buuut ur mind also goes through ideas faster than the indy 500. this is the fricken greatest thing to have if ur creative. sometimes i'll just play my guitar for two hours straight, improving the whole time but having no idea what my fingers are doing. then you have the depression, which can come for no reason at all and you just want to get away from the world. u can't think at all during this, but afterwards you think extremely clearly. there are between stages of nothing too now for the song. musical genius that hit jimi's level dont always feel emotions or see them, but they experience them in color. this happens all the time in dreams. for instance, whenever i have a dream that i feel scared and helpless, it's mostly just colors of red and yellow, with a few ppl thrown in. every color relates to a different feeling, and that's where he writes the song from. I still don't get the whole axis part though |
