This song is so good, I love when jack white plays slide guitar its amazing. Does anyone know what is said at the very end, it's barely audible, does he say "easy" as the lyrics on here say? just wondering if anyone knows for sure because i know the lyrics on here can be wrong. |

I'm suprised there aren't more comments on this song, since it is an awesome song. I got on here trying to figure out why it is called 'Badge' since it's never said in the song, and swlabr123's comment makes the most sense, because I'm a huge George Harrison fan and I knew that he wrote part of this song. The statement about it being a bunch of stuff Ringo said is very interesting and also makes sense since a lot of the lyrics are sort of random. George Harrison plays guitar on this song also, just as Clapton played lead guitar on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. The 'Here Comes The Sun' comment also makes sense to me, since George Harrison went to Eric Clapton's house and wrote that song while wondering in his garden. |

One line that I noticed, which seems to support the whole contradicting choices idea, is the line: "And the roads are covered with a million
little molecules
Of cigarette ashes and the school floors are covered
with pieces of pencil eraser too." When I hear this I think of Jack smoking a lot of cigarettes because he's nervous or undecided and constantly thinking about what choices to make, and the pencil eraser thing makes me think about if you're working on something but keep changing your mind or second-guessing yourself so you're constantly erasing what you did and thus covering the floor with pieces of pencil eraser. Just some thoughts that come to mind when i hear this. |
