This is my favorite song on this album, but just one of many. This album is playing right now in my iTunes. I have thousands of songs in there, but I don't want to listen to anything but these right now. I read another review that put it perfectly. Hearing this album, even from first listen, was like listening to a tried and true friend...familiar and awesome! |

I absolutely love this entire album. This is one of my favorite songs because it seems to be a cry from someone recovering from something asking God to give them the strength to continue on. Needing a quiet and strong resolve because your days and nights are long, seems to read like the old adage, "Idle hands are the devil's tools."

This is currently my favorite sond on Blackbird. I like the "controlled chaos" explanation as it does make sense. An interesting side note for those of you who are as old as me (40)...Listening to Myles sing this song, I am reminded of a singer named Brian Howe who sang on a couple of Ted Nugent records before becoming the lead singer of Bad Company for awhile. I always like Howe's vocals too. My wife and I love Myles voice and he sounds just like the recording when he's live...the whole band does. |

This song's meaning so overt that it does not require discussion. I just saw Alter Bridge this week in Dallas and man do they ROCK! The venue was small and not filled, but you wouldn't know it by the way they played. Myles nailed everything and so did his band mates. I love this band! |
