this song is amazing. It's really beautiful in sound. I suppose this song is about Matt's view on religion, that it's not a necessity, yet people are drawn to it and struggle with one another over their own interptetations of the beliefs of whatever religion. He writes it in almost the tone of a lover and makes me think of those who feel "married" to Jesus or whatever god/deity they believe in. At the same time, it appears he is disillusioned with the world and it's need to be realistic and scientific, always proving a point with tangible evidence fueled through technology. Sometimes, being human, or "spiritual" transcends all that is physical and materialistic. |
