I think this song is about the ending of a relationship. "the angels would look down".. Looking a saviour to help or to take him away from the argument.. "but you're too fucking tall".. The feeling of feeling small and helpless but no help is coming.. "it's all too loud".. Possibly just the shouting/arguing/confusion. "with days of conflict followed by weeks of pain".. The falling apart of the relationship followed by the rough weeks ahead 'trying to get over it'.. "the second the words are spoken a life time of scars will remain".. Saying something in the heat of the moment often leads to that moment staying with you forever, possibly always questioning what you said and why you did say it. "audition with me".. Let's have another go.. "where should I be?".. Akward after everything that's happened. Don't know how to act.. "we'll have the last shot but can anyone remember anything?".. Not sure about this but i'm thinking they're going to have another go at the relationship but there's doubts that there's any point.. "all that fuss and it's over"..Well, it's over.. "now we'll have our shot at happy ending".. Obviously wasn't going to work between them and now they have the chance to find someone that they can live with and have their 'happy ending'.. "the start of something memorable".. The start of a new life. Wanting to forget what's happened.. "next time this will all be different".. Self explanatory.. Those are my ideas |
