| Interpol – Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I know Paul claims this song has nothing to do with "A Streetcar Named Desire", but if that's the case, the constant shouts of "Stella" and references to her love of sex are a creepy coincedence. I think the songs about a girl a guy has sex with then drowns, maybe deliberatealy. "Always down" also suggests that she's often used for oral sex. Yeah, she might be a hooker. |

I read somewehere that this song is about recovering after an accident. The reference to "Rosemarie" is apparently about Rosmarie West, the serial killer. |

I'd never thought about him being in love with a younger girl but it could be right. I always thought the "i'd go back if you ask" sort ot meant he'd sacrafice everything he'd achieved in his life so far, like a career, to be with her and he'd take a step backwards in life. It's on the deluxe version of silent alarmalong with two more years |

| Bloc Party – The Marshals Are Dead Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this song is critiscising the state. It points out that the people will always be more powerful than the state "a country that grows us but cannot contain us". What a great line! | |
| Bloc Party – Always New Depths Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Does anybody think this song has really dark lyrics for such an upbeat melody? Intentional probably. Great song |
