just read through the whole thread too... annnd jimi was the first, made beautiful music and set the stage in a wonderful manner. stevie was a technical genius and smoothed out the great jimi song in this case. i think they would have loved to play together. Why questions about "better"? That's like standing on earth and trying to figure out which star in the sky is farther away with no telescope or science and shit. |

this song is lyrically brilliant as well as representative of the exact thing rap doesn't really need to be preaching... if you gotta defend your drug property when you can't have a proper authority do it for you, that's one thing, but just stealing shit is fucked up... i would've really liked to see biggie mature in his lyrical content cuz he is smooth as hell and just NICE overall |

this song is really not complicated at all... first verse wyclef - all about a nice girl back in high school who's now working for that green paper on the street -- she's a whore... chorus - all about the money man... akon- girls are now just bein' strippers, not whores, cuz its better money, safer... so now all those pimps gotta hustle and stay low to avoid 25 to life... weezy- all about this prostitute, used to be the sweetest girl ever, now she's sour and cold, doin what she has to do to make money. funny play on words when she goes to the pastor, then asks him where the money at? (pastor might be crooked too perhaps?) Kinda dark song with a lighthearted beat/musical score, but i like it anywho cuz its catchy as hell |
