I didn't know it was about god, until I read this page. I actually heard it from a tribute video on youtube, and fell in love with the song. To me, it's about a relationship and one person died...but I guess it's about god. :) *Shrug* I'm glad it's not...overtly religious...the tribute video I saw it on wouldn't make sense then. Anyway, it's a great song.

I think what is important is what the song means to an individual person, and there is no right or wrong way to interpret a song. This song means to me to finally let go of one's emotions. Just let go of the past, and jump into life and feel it. This song makes me cry everytime I listen to it. I heard it before Garden State, and I liked it, but I wasn't too crazy, then I saw Garden State, and wow...this song fit perfectly. On that note, Garden State is such a good movie.
