I think that this song is about have the strength and patients to get through bad times. We as humans get angry easily and its hard to be patient when the odds are stack against us. The lines "Anger and hatred are their oars, revenge their vessel" and "This is your conscience speaking, spare your spirit" are saying that if what let anger and hatred drive us then we can't let spare us spirit the pain of the bad times. My opinion. |

To each their own opinion.Dez quoted in Revolver Magazine that Forgiveness is a six gun" is about forgiveness. He explains that we as human beings find forgiveness hard for us to do. He also explains that the Chorus "Forgiveness is a six gun, teach me how to shoot, The truth is like a moving target, forgiveness is a six gun" is he wants to learn how to forgive. Besides that its a great song non the less. |

i can relate to this song.its short, but its hard. to me its about a relationship that end. and in my case, its true. me and my x are friends, but you can see we are not the same we use to be. i really like the line at the end."we were far to close to see". i think we were we to close to see the problems around us, and it messed us up. |
