this song is really good but i must say seeing them in concert was a disappointment..not because of them but because of this song...there are people out there who are just shake it fans..and after metro station performed this song at bamboozle about half the crowd left to see other bands...and they played it at the beginning of their set.. so if there are any "shake it" fans here, listen to some advice: GO LISTEN TO THE REST OF THEIR CD!!! its pretty good |

well i do know what this song was intended to mean. but different songs mean different things to everyone. for example to me, this song is not about a drug-addicted teen but it's about breaking up with a guy you really care about. and basically how hard it is. i'm going through that situation right now with the guy i'm dating. the situation itself sucks, but i completely identify with this song. |

the guys ex-girlfriend has been treated badly by her current boyfriend and the guy is still there for her and wants to protect her....OR...instead of being an ex-girlfriend, the 2 of them are just friends and the guy is protective of her and wants to kill the guy when he treats the girl wrong..

i do agree with the first post, but i think theres more to it then just that. it seems to me that the girl constantly treats the guy like shit, walks all over him, and just doesn't appreciate him whatsoever. but the guy doesn't care..he loves her that much..."Don't you know that three small words could make this all okay" and he's basically saying that he would take her back and forgive her for everything she has ever done if she just says she loves him |

its about a guy who wants to be with a girl who he loves, but she doesn't feel the same. the guy will literally do anything to get with this girl who means everything to him. he sees her go from one bad relationship to another and all he can really do is sit on the side and wait for her.
