| System of a Down – Science (feat. Arto Tunçboyacıyan) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. A religion is any systematic approach to living that involves beliefs about one's origins, one's place in the world, or a responsibility to live and act in the world in particular ways. Faith is not the same as Religion! This song is not about religion! |

| Science is NOTHING like a religion. It does answers how things work, but it's not based on "mythical things" as you call them, but rather on PROVEN principles and laws obtained through organized observation and measurement, and most physical phenomena can be seen through microscopes or imaging machinery. As for the "gaps", science tries to fill them, and if they can't they change the original theory, while religion rarely or never changes nor does it fill its gaps. | |

I think it refers to human spirit as in human willpower, not as in Holy Spirit, and faith as in faith in something, not necessarily God. But everyone is free to interpret it as they wish. |

| I think the song is about someone trying not to fall into madness or desperation. | |

These are the lyrics as they appear in the CD booklet: Stress, Breaking my back, Pulse is stuttering, Pressure, Mental attack, My thoughts cluttering Beating this dead horse, Is exhausting, Heartbreaking, To see my hands shaking, I'm knee-deep, In the dead still wading, Still wading in this, This well-called life Nervousness halting all will Forcing apathy Anxiety an aching chill Hammering down me Beating this dead horse Is exhausting Heartbreaking To see my hands shaking I'm knee-deep in the dead Still wading Still wading in this This well-called life Tread the floods So you can hope to seize Your own reality (Be)fore it escapes thee Watch yourself drown in disarray It's time to break away Or we’ll die today |
