i think the song has a general underlying theme aside from the chorus that i think people have missed. maybe im wrong.
but if you notice the title of the song is "Don't bore us, get to the chorus".
when i first listened to the song and the chorus came around, i was like "what the heck?". the chorus totally threw me for a loop. who expected this cheesy synthed up dance beat? i didnt, but as i listened to it i began to interpert it as them also sending a message about the way that "popular" music is made, with the catchy pop synth sound. |

I think that the song is refering to a battle against our desire to feed our flesh. this song has nothing to do with surrender. not at all. if you read the song it talks about how at the end he has decided to stand and fight, as much as he is skeptical of how he will win, he has confidence that the Captain (Jesus) will send help and it ends with the "reinforcements" showing up. the cool things is that it says that the bows are bent which is important because they havent come unprepared, they are so ready that they have drawn their bows to fire |

its pretty obvious that this song is pointing towards the consequences of strongholds in our lives. beyond that i think its cool how he addresses the way that girls are treated by guys, and how they need to look past that and see its not worth wrecking your life over. |

i think that way it's talking about is the tribulation and how we are an evil world. the interesting thing that hes seemes to be saying is that the more evil we bring, the closer we bring the world to an and which is really hailing the kingdom of God. |
