this song is so pure and so gentle the first few times you hear it. the simplicity and quiet perfection of the melody itself reminds me every time of summer, regardless of the time of year. i never could understand the lyrics and the daunting, melancholy meaning the song really has intensifies every part of the song for me. as other people said, this is quite possibly the best song in the entire world. |

its definatley got very acid-related images....really strong beautiful ones, of course.... but anyone who's read/watched the beatles anthology knows that julien made john a picture and when john asked who the girl in the picture was, julien replied by saying "thats lucy in the sky!" ....like father like son? but hands down one of the best songs ever written. |

my first impression was a secret love with a/her(??) boss at work....although idk what work vanessa carlton does....the whole mahogany desk bit....but now i'm not sure.... it really is a perfect song though. |

this song was playing on the way home from my friend's house, after i'd gone farther than i'd been planning with a boy i didn't really trust all the was while my ex-boyfriend who i still very much had feelings for was in the room....it fit pretty well with everything i was feeling that night...all the confusion of losing the first person you've ever loved and wondering if you're on the right path and how to keep on going.... i really dig this song in a big big way. |
