This song just is so powerful -- I agree that there are no words to describe it. Especially the way the song just revs up in a way in the middle with "I don't wanna battle from beginning to end" to "I don't wanna follow Death and all his friends" is just WONDERFUL. Actually, all of Viva la Vida is wonderful : ) |

Because I'm not American, I didn't know that 409 was a cleaning product -- but think of it this way: not only is 409 a cleaning product, but in terms of the internet, you know how sometimes you get a message saying that the page can't load for some reason? Well, 409 is in the list of one of those errors. If you're sick -- you could think of it like a part of your body has an error..
I just like thinking of it that way.
Also, that line 'that every plan is a prayer to father time' is just wonderful -- about how when you plan things, you are really praying 'Please let us have enough time to do this and all the other fun things in life'. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful line in this song, along with 'Love is watching someone die'. |

The ends of the verses remind me of the songs my dad plays. It's interesting how B's starts out life unhappy, but ends up enjoying it more than A did. Perhaps a life lesson for some people out there? |

I agree with you willworkforchanel. This song is just so pretty, but also sad. The last line is almost haunting, but that just makes the song so much better. |
