| My mom works in the prisons making sure the inmates behave. they get big screen tvs video game consoles, they get an education a COLLEGE education for that matter. and all this is being paid for by the taxpayers. and they still bitch and complain. I love this song cus its just so honest. | |

| seems to me its simply about how our lives are dictated by fate, and that no matter what we do we will always have painful moments that 'take away all pleasures from before'. the title made me think it was about the antichrist at first but after reading the lyrics I believe the title basically means one bad things happens in your life, and many more will follow. | |

| uh yeah i agree with hotsoup, its about vampires. the first time he says 'it reflects hatred in my eyes', probably means he enjoys being a vampire, and the second time when its followed by 'its such a lonely flight', there are parts of being a vampire he doesnt like, he misses daylight, and being mortal 'being hard to wound'. and the part 'lost in time for eternity' because hes immortal, and than the part 'ill find you to drink your blood', really gives it away | |

well i think this song has four different point of views, the girl the fiddler/reaper, the boy, and an omnicient point of view. the first verse i think is an omnescient point of view, describing how the girl went out on her own, and her parents calling for her. the second verse has 2 different point of views, the lines ' Wasn't there a dream last night Like a spring never ending Still the water runs clear Through my mind On the field I can see a fiddler The fiddler on the green and the sad boy' that is the little girls point of view, and the lines, I took him too early Would you mind Would you mind Would you mind If I take you is the fiddlers aka reapers point of view, and when it repeats 'to be with you' over and over, i think that is the little boys point of view. and the lines, The sun seemed bright The air was clear The air was clear A trick of light Turned red into green She saw the light Her face was pale Her body smashed Her beauty's gone Isn't it a shame The reaper said He is quite alone here And still waiting for you Oh I really did fail for the first time Spoke the fiddler, poor old fiddler The fiddler on the green The fiddler on the green is the omnicient again, and the final lines It would be nice: Take my hand Just hold my hand I'll take you there Your pain will go away i think the reason he said it would be nice, is because the girl is in immense pain, but not dead, and it would be nice if she joined the boy, and i think shes crossing the street, because, i dont think that she would be old enough to drive because of the very first lines with her parents and what not, and...yeah, i think everybody interpreted very well :) i just thought i would point out the point of views cus it was kinda confusing :) |
