Ah..the great Pink Floyd..This song always made me stare at the sun when I was younger :D I love how everyone can interpret this differently I think that is the beauty of the song..to me experience has changed my views of it over the years..Like going through a breakup, so on and so forth...But what really hits it on the head for me is the best friend thing...after me and my best friend of 8 years had a falling out and "broke up" it just reminded me so much of the situation...about when your friends with someone so long that you start to grow apart and instead of being good for each other, your bad...an unhealthy relationship, like them not being there for you, silence, them bringing you down, loss of trust, whatever...But you still can't bring yourself to end it and it makes you miserable. But then, when it inevitably ends, its a relief, like you break into a whole new world "And headed straight... into the shining sun" TDB is my favorite Floyd album...you just become somewhat hypnotized by it... |
