nah, it's a "coming to terms" with the world while I'm personally not a christian, I'm sure the band was talking about submitting to god when it comes to our feelings. They've described a lot of the human condition in just a few lines. Personally I see it as a necessary cop out for the good of people involved. |

I am a non christian, but Jars of Clay is one of my favorite bands. They don't talk about how great god is, they talk about what they feel because of god. It's genius, they don't alienate anyone, and offer a lot to think about even if you don't believe as they do. Someone such as myself feels the same as this song describes. Just because I don't care for an afterlife doesn't devoid this life of meaning. It's still pretty damn boring though, and this song soothes those feelings by pointing out that whoever you are, you're not alone. |

I think he's talking about all these problems going on, and how he sees it, but is incapable to do anything about it, he needs help. But every group he gets put in fails to be the right kind of people to take the world out of it's plight. this man is a fucking genius, comparable to maynard, except that these lyrics are much easier to understand, but at the same mental level. damn, all of this mnemic shit is GOOD. |
