i love this song. surprised nobodys commented on it. i think its about literally losing track of time...like life STOPS but you are there to just think, and you analyze yourself so deeply that you no longer are sure of yourself and your identity, and the truth has become so clear you cant handle it. maybe the truth about a relationship. like, the "ive seen its worth your while" part, like his suffering is worth her while because she gets something out of it, be it money, sex, drugs, etc just my interpretation. |

but even if we barricade the door and seal it with the blood found on the floor we’re always going to cross the finish line while everybody wants to run and hide i think this part is about avoiding death, no matter what you do youll always "cross the finish line" eventually. another part i thought was interesting was let’s break the window panes and separate the walls from all the nails cuz maybe if we’re loud we’ll stay alive while everybody wants to join the fight but now it’s too late the guy is trying everything not to die, and he eventually realizes its too late to stop it all. he is going to die. if we take the part about the girl into consideration, it could be considered about her dying and him being so grief stricken that he fears death |
