i think lyrically this song eludes to the bank robbery of 9mm and everything went numb. So do the right thing or do nothing (What will you do when they come for you?) Or just do what is easier then the reference to six or seven, moved on to eight or nine seems to elude to the random numbers in 9mm. (What will you do when they come for you?) that seems to point to turning yourself in or waiting for authorities to come to you (sirens? silence?) my opinion of a few songs of SwItB is they connect the concrete and real world ideas of the two previous CD's and turn them philisophical. not everyone robs banks and kills people. but we all do things that need to be paid for. the one foot on the gas makes me think he is going to do what is wrong. he is choosing the getaway. We do what we want. NOT what we should each individual song doesnt tell a story. nor album. its alive and deep. |

Is this an answer to Keasbey Nights and Point/Counterpoint? maybe those songs were cryptic descriptions of what this song is headed towards. a more general and societal loss of purpose as opposed to the sole man with a gun and vest. And what, pray tell, will you whimper when your NUMBER WILL BE CALLED? You'll say "It's not my fault" idk. i was hoping track three would carry the story and sing along. but maybe it does. |

"Now everybody's telling taller tales And I don't know who to believe Ok, if your father really loves you more What about the other families? " MORE in the third line sounds like MOE to me. does anybody know for certain that this is accurate? because i read a book called....IGGY abotu a iggy's friend named moe who had multiple familes. but yes. definetly against religion. |
