My mother died unexpectedly in 2004 (when I was in my 20s). I remained, well, "strong" until I heard this song, and was a complete mess for a while thereafter. ALL my grief came out when I heard this song and thought about my mom who loved me unconditionally.

This song has strong value to me in terms of holding onto blessed memories. I requested it to the DJ at my cousin's wedding reception and as soon as it came on many people were reaching for tissues. Just beautiful.

It's the #1 song that makes me cry... It reminds me of my own friends who either died at a young age, or who I haven't seen in many years. It makes me so sad, yet I treasure its meaning.

This song reminds me of when I was about 3 or 4 years old, when I was mollested and physically abused, and it reminded me there was still hope in the world. I cry when I hear it to this day.
