this used to be my song with a guy - we called it our song since we both loved it so much. it's ironic and not completely unsurprising how we ended now that i read into the lyrics more. what was i holding out for? what was always in the way? why was i so damn absent minded? why was i so scared of romance? ahh modern love.... it really does break me. |

i take this song as people who lived near each other their whole lives but just never realized the potential the other had, like a missed opportunity, then realizing it. the rest is kind of like how neither knows what to do once they realize it, whether they should hold on or let go. such a great song though, the emotion in his voice is great |
