Absolutely LOVE this song! Reminds me exaclty of my current situation. But, the third line of the song is actually... "I've bound my emotions because I can't afford to be wrong." Just wanted to correct that because it really helps with the meaning of the song. |

Clearly this guy has feelings for this girl but for whatever reason can't commit. Someone who is just a friend isn't "on your mind." I think the line " Well I tried to fake it, I don't mind sayin', I just can't make it" is him admitting to the fact that he knows he just can't tie himself down even if he loves her. Reminds me of the situation I'm in right now. The guy I really like was REALLY hurt in the past and can't bring himself to start another relationship and even admits that he should try with me but is afraid to. He's incredible, so i'll stick it out... Great song :) |
