Everyone sees Ryan die, and Ryan is ashamed of himself, lying there dying. He says to himself Claudio has murdered him, but this is bringing justice to the universe.
This is my least favorate song off the album. |

Reading the lyrics and listening to the song put one image in my head, epic fucking battle. This is oviously the battle between Claudio and Ryan. Claudio has gone mad with anger and is tearing Ryan apart, Ryan now realizes Claudio is really the masiah and he wants to die seeing as he is not the superior being in the universe ("I don't wanna live no more", "Oh Christ, will you burry my body"). I think the IRO-bots or who ever was in Claudio's army think he's loosing so they are going to the top of the tower to where their fighting to save Claudio and kill Ryan ("We’ll keep marching to the top of this tower as God isn’t at home. No. There’s nothing in the way that could stop us. It’s your time to go."). I get such a rush listening to this song and imagining the battle, they should make a movie about the story. |

Also, he desides not to kill Mayo, and gives him a knife to do it himself after he leaves ("When you're sick to the stomach, just pull out the knife,"). And he desides he's not going to cry anymore, let the past be the past, and save the universe("Don't cry, boy, not anymore"). |

I don't think its Claudio considering suicide, I think he has a gun to Mayo's mouth (I think "The Running Free" is the battle with Mayo) and he knows Mayo was just following orders. He's thinking about how Mayo was the reason for his family's death so he's imagining what his family would sayi if they were there. They tell him its time for him to grow up and face facts that he might die but has to do this and fight Ryan. He's probably crying threw this whole scene, remember he was just a high school student that came home one night to find his whole family died and then to leave the love of his life to save the universe while risking his life. |

I don't think this is the battle with Ryan, seeing as the song is in the middle of that album. I thinnk it the battle with Mayo, and Mayo wasn't actually evil, he just had to follow Ryan's orders or he would die, Claudio understands this and tells him you're free to go and do what you want now, after he kills him, and as someone said before he would be going to heaven if he didn't owe anyone their lives. |

I think Claudio wrote a letter (or calls her) to Newo, saying that afte he destroy Favor House, he's going to come back for her. She's tried to moved on but hasn't completly and has a new lover but tells Claudio their isn't anyone new in her life and can't wait to see him ("You've been such a liar"). She's sitting on her porch thinking, "What have I done, I'm going to loss any hope of getting Claudio back and this new boy," and crying her heart out. Her new boyfriend walks up to her porch and ask what's wrong ("Wait a minute, little back porch lady. Oh don't you cry, Mama. Oh don't you cry, no, no.") calling her Moma, hispanic guys call their girls Moma sometimes and Claudio (Sanchez) is Perto Rican. Also, the Feathers part I'm not sure but did anyone notice that all the Prise in the SSTB comic were Newo? That could be what its reffering to. |

In the bonus DVD, Claudio (Sanchez not one from the story) is drawing a sketch of a new character, this could be it seeing as in past albums when he introduces characters its the title of the song. I think the Hound is working for Ryan (possibly a replacment for Mayo) and is an extremly expericed murderer and is watching Claudio (the Crowing) march towards the Favor House.
The Hound could also be what Ryan calls Claudio (the Crowing) instead of the Crowing because he thins he isn't the masiah and is as worthless as a dog. If you notice through out the album, Claudio (Sanchez) is calling somone boy, I think its reffering to Claudio (the Crowing) because of a line in "Mother Superior". I'll explain in the thread to that song. |

I think this is all the Crowing perspective, Ryan doesn't have a part. He has gathers up an army (IRO-bots probably) and is trying to rale them up, but at the same time he believes they're going to die ("Bye, bye world"). The part that it says "I'm the Crowing (the?)" is him saying to himself "Wait a minute, I'm the fucking masiah, I can do this," to try to build up the courage to do this, but in the back of his head he's stil scared. |
