Somethings were not meant to be understood in the day to day state of waking consciousness. Open the doors of your perception and realize that every human group is a collection of island universes. Then listen to this album again. |

This is a song about how people confuse sex with love. Some people see sex as an expression of an emotional intimacy, but not all see it that way. One lover was just in it for a quick shag and then out the door, and the other thought there was some love there. Men are from Mars and women are from Venus. Everyone gets their heart broken and whatcha gonna do? |

Wow. This song is bumping. I love the way the big sounding beat balances perfectly with the understated female vocals. An awesome mix. The songwriting for The Blow is also just damn good all around. I once loved a girl that had a special relationship with the universe. Yup. |

I'm always disappointed when it turns out that a band with a sound I like turns out to be Christian. :-( I always thought this song was about summoning all of the anger, frustration, and rage that has built up inside of you and channeling it into wanton unchecked destruction, which is awesome; Turns out it's about Jesus. :-( "If you've never been here, You've never been to the place inside, I face my fears It takes everything I am" I thought this part was about catching a fist or elbow just right on the jaw and being right on the edge of unconsciousness, having that darkening dizzy vision and fighting to remain awake; fighting to remain standing. |

| Static-X – Cannibal Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| That Ozzfest show in Detroit rocked; Static-X definitely got the biggest crowd response on the main stage... I think Wayne spoke out about the sod throwing so he wouldn't get fined and they wouldn't stop the show. That shit was surreal; I got pegged in the face with those sod chunks over and over in the mosh pit on the hill; covered in mud by the end of the set. What do you expect at Ozzfest? | |

I'm listening to it for the first time, and I really think this song is personifying the United States and our allies in the "coalition of the willing." Gearing the country up for war, the hawks boasted about all of our allies and international support that really only sent token forces. As they one by one withdraw their troops, the administration says "Well, we don't need them anyway." But still the politicians miss them because they liked to propagate the idea that we're not doing this alone, and people are now seeing through their lies. |
