I agree that he's talking about his overnight rise to fame, and that he's going to take advantage of it til it's over (might as well). One thing I was sort of curious about though is the blonde girl in the music video. It makes me think that maybe he left someone behind so he could pursue this and take advantage of the moment...and either she didn't want to come with or couldn't. ??? Anyone have thoughts on this? |

Also, not that Kelly Clarkson's music has anything to do with Rise Against's, her new song Already Gone vaguely reminds me of this song's meaning...well, at least in the context of my own break-up. Look up the lyrics if you wanna see what I mean. |

I agree with a couple of people, namely grant2207 and bat100. It sort of reminds me of the last couple of months of my relationship. Basically, we love each other but it's not really going anywhere. He's a douchebag and I thought he could change for me. We knew we should just break up with each other over a year ago but we didn't (until now). I see the girl he's speaking about as someone a little pathetic who thought that this guy would indeed "complete" her even though he was probably hurting her or failing her in a little ways. She could definitely find a better guy. Anyway, in this song he's just telling her that if she feels this way and he knows he's "not the answer" then how do they break up. Break ups can be hard. It's a cost-benefit analysis and sometimes people would rather stay in the same unhappy relationship out of fear of being alone or something. |

When I initially heard this song I thought it was aweful! I also assumed it was Miley Cyrus until I caught the lyric "boys tryna touch my junk." I highly doubt a product of Disney would be singing these lyrics but couldn't think of anyone else with this corny, pop sound. I'll be honest though...the chorus became catchy enought that I was compelled to find out who sings this. |

when i first heard this song i thought it was about someone wanting to end their life because their world was screwed up. but if you wiki what a brompton cocktail is like teenage-death-girl did, you'll see that it's about a terminally-ill person that just wants to end their life pain-free and happy...drugged up. i love the strings in this song. in case some of you don't know, it's already been leaked via youtube. i love it. |
