it is not millstone. millstone is pronounced mill-stone... not milestone. the name of the song is not milEstone, it is millstone. plus brand new used to have the official lyrics on their website and the correct lyrics were "i'm my own stone around my neck". how can you not get that?!?!? |

I don't know who keeps editing the lyrics but they used to be all correct and from the website and now 90% of them are WRONG. |

wow all of you need to read or watch some fucking interviews. this song IS FOR A FACT about hayley feeling judged and ignored by the other band members. josh wrote the music first, and the music brought all the frustrated emotion out of hayley and she couldn't help but write these honest and harsh lyrics. when they went on the break after the final riot tour, her and the boys weren't talking at all until "decode" happened and they were forced to cooperate ...and then after "decode" they still weren't really talking until they went into the recording studio for this album and sorted some shit out. and come on guys we all know decode is about her feelings towards the boys (or more so josh), not twilight "how did we get here, I used to know you so well". this band is divided (jeremy and hayley are close now and always chilling, while you never really see the other band members with her outside of a gig) and not the same friends they used to be, specifically with hayley and josh. hopefully they can find the amazing friendship they once had and enjoy being in a band together again. |

i've been a paramore fan since '05 and i'm not going to sit here and be like blahblahblah they suck now. no they don't they continue to make amazing songs. suck it up veterans, I know it sucks that we have to share them, but its not their fault. they deserve it all. |

well as of right now this song hits home. I think it has a lot to do with being replaced, instead of having fun with your friends you watch them have fun while you basically sit in the silence. every conversation you have with them is meaningless. they could care less about why youre so quiet lately, that they only thing that will grab their attention is you dying. I know this song is way deeper than what I just said but I can't help but relate to this song due to being replaced. |
