The Killers – Leave the Bourbon on the Shelf Lyrics 18 years ago
The trilogy's complete! woo! been looking forward to this for a long time. i love the way he sings it in that youtube video, you can just hear the vengence in his voice.. :D

actually what surprises me is that the line 'she said she loved me' wasn't in there.. it's in the other two and i thought it would be a recurring theme in the murder trilogy, but whatever.

i heard about the movie too, but they cancelled it since. not sure why. :/

The Killers – All the Pretty Faces Lyrics 18 years ago
To me, this song's about a guy who's fallen out of love with his girlfriend. He really wants to be in love with her ("i'd do anything just to be your man") but he just can't make himself feel that way again ("i don't feel like loving you no more"). And "help me out, i need it" is him asking for someone to come and help him get out of this situation.

"I spent two long years in a strange, strange land" - i'm guessing this means he's been with her for two years. Now it seems strange to him 'cause he doesn't understand how he felt any more.

"All the different places, ringing out like a shotgun in my head, all the pretty faces, ringing out when i just can't go to bed" - i imagine him here lying awake at night thinking of all the places he could be and all the pretty faces he could be with, but he resents these thoughts 'cause he wants to love his girlfriend again.

Also some parts of the song are him trying to explain to someone, like a close friend or someone, about how he feels 'cause he needs help working it out himself. "Well how did it happen?" obviously would be this person asking the guy about it. And "you're not telling anyone about me" would be the guy insisting this person doesn't tell anyone about what's happening.

my favourite line's "these trials don't prepare the error"... to me it means how you can try so hard at something but still keep getting it wrong. which is basically my interpretation of the song.

and bear in mind that it doesn't have to be based on the personal experiences of Brandon or any of the members of the Killers... they've written about fictional people before, All The Pretty Faces could be fictional too.

The Killers – Soft Surrender (Where Is She?) Lyrics 18 years ago
Mr.Phoenix's theory sure makes sense. the line 'where is my baby girl' made me think it was from the mother's point of view, but if it was actually about a friend of the girl the other verses fit into place..
