It's amazing how much this song is applying to my life right now. I'm sure it's Howard singing to God. Not positive, but sure. Anyways, I hung out with this one girl recently and when we said our goodbyes she said she'll "See me around". I didn't know what to say to that, and as she walked back to her dorm, I was hopeless with nothing to say. The next day, she went to the beach with her Ex and since then, she's been on my mind nonstop, like a curse. I want to wait until she's done hanging out with her Ex, so my love is waiting to find her. She used to text me and talk to me like crazy but now she'll never give more than a one or two word response, and the fact that she is so "quiet" now is definitely haunting me. And of course, to perfect the song's lyrical connection to my current situation, I haven't seen her since. Thinkin' about dropping her like a bad habit now... |

Whenever I hear, "Don't drop your arms", I think of Moses in the old testament when he had to hold his arms up towards the heavens to have God help the israelites keep winnning the war. It applies to us too, since we battle daily with pains, struggles, addictions, and sin in general. Since the band is christian, that's what I get out of the song. Aside from all of that, this song is and will always be one of my favorites! |
