This song is really amazing and Andy really has a way with lyrics. I think this song is about leaving home or running away from home and the first few decisions you make. When people leave home the strongest people will be resilient and succeed while the weak people return home and do what society tells them to do. There is pressure when you leave home and you have to decide if you're going to settle down right away and work in a dead-end job or if you're going to take risks occasionally. He sails the desert... he lives according to his own values |

The lyrics for this song are very ambiguous but one would assume that the music video would reveal what this song is really about... I still haven't seen it... It is undeniable, however, that these lyrics are very beautiful. |
