some amendments, just by ear... I'm getting the cd in a few days, do the lyrics come with it? I'm interested in the lyrics to this song. The "are"'s in the chorus sound like all's...but don't make as much sense... floating like a ghost man floating like a baby swaying in your mothers arms sleeping like a baby friends(?) they are in life and friends they are(all) in heart fall they're talking of together together, there's life flowing sounding for the seasons flowers for the rapture shield her from the fire flowers for the sleeping friends they are in life and friends they are in heart fall, they're talking of together together, there's life flowing soldier, child of honor sleeping like a baby swaying in his mothers arms floating like a ghost man friends they are in life and friends they are in heart fall, they're talking of together together there's life flowing |

are these the actual lyrics? or have you just given your best guess? Either way good job. I know this aint a classic ween tune, but its one that's definitely personal to gener, deserves to be explored... the ultimate innocence of us all.. |

| i realize I shouldn't double post on this site... but are you serious man? I can't believe so many ween fans get it so wrong. I wonder why everybody is listening if that's the case... I'm absolutely certain that song, and that record in general, is about the fragility, and artificiality, of happiness. They'd tell you it to your face. Its not about ecstasy. Its about artificial happiness, of which ecstasy could be an example. Why do you think the madness of the second half is there? | |

jeez stallion, your right that they've done their share of drugs...that aint exaggerated, but your wrong in saying dean writes the lyrics as much as gener. He doesn't. Gener does most songs, deaner has his input. I know as much about ween as anyone. Gener writes most of the lyrics. That doesn't take away from deaner at all, he creates the vibes, the sound, which is everything almost. He reads gener perfectly, and vice versa. But gener writes most of the lyrics. Again I think this song is just vibing on the epic-ness of the british culture/history. |

| Ween – Happy Colored Marbles Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| c'mon... this song is clearly about the illusion of happiness, as is zoloft, as is the theme of that record, quebec. "Most people are not okay but they're taking their siestas in the sun"... all of the people trying to convince themselves they're happy, out in the world, but truthfully they're not okay at all. And "gettin' down till the dawn" a reference to all the club goers and partiers seeming quite satisfied with their lives and yet actually unhappy. The change over to the madness halfway through the song is supposed to reflect the truth. The first half, especially the chorus, is the illusion of happiness, the second half is the reality. | |
| Ween – Cold Blows The Wind Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this is an absolutely great song... I'm really glad the boys turned it into the song they did. The unquiet grave... the notion that a lover mourns so much for a slain love they disturb the peace(repose) of the deceased... its something everyone ought to hear. | |

| yeah I agree with one guy there...unlike some ween songs, I don't think the lyrics in this one mean much of anything. They are just vibe-ing on the epicness of british culture, particularly the monarchy. Which is artistic in itself. But to read more deeply into them just channeling a vibe in this song is probably foolish. | |
| Ween – Transdermal Celebration Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I really, really believe this song is about the continuation of life. I know its a little abstract, but the video captures the song almost perfectly. Its about the immortality of how life just continues on, takes new forms, but still does continue. Transdermal in this song doesn't mean through skin...but more literally a changing of skin. So its a celebration of life and death, the turnover of life, but also its continuation. Hence the references to "mutants", as mutations are how species evolve and change. I suppose more accurately its about fathoming the infinite nature of life and how we're all apart of it. | |
| Ween – Push Th' Little Daisies (Album version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think your all wrong with the nipples and death interpretations... to the extent any ween song means anything, I think the pushing daises metaphor means life, and love, in this song. Daisies are a cheerful sunny picture. The song is about asking a girl to love him, make everything sunny and positive. That's why he's asking them to be pushed, he's trying to explain why they should be in love and it should be this sunny, dewey, meadow sort of picture. | |
