| London After Midnight – Claire's Horrors Lyrics | 18 years ago |

this could possibly be a reference to Jane Clairmont (also known as Claire Clairmont), one of Lord Byron's many lovers and mother of his daughter Allegra. Although their actual relationship was strained and tense, the 1986 movie "Gothic" told it rather differently. The film gave her the tendency towards epileptic fits, which her step-sister, Mary Shelley, termed, "Claire's Horrors." Byron's love adopts predatory undertones, at some points portraying him as a vampire feeding from his young, angelic paramour. |
