yea it's definitely about a drunk driver and a car crash. it's eerie how when he's describing the crash the music changes. i like it. well not the fact that there is a crash, but it's a good song! |

i totally agree with the above statement. i'd also add that the guy feels like he is way better of a person than many other guys out there. *fools n luxury* and he's basically saying you're gunna be left with someone that is never going to be as good as me. |

i'm pretty sure the meaning is in the symbols he uses refering to water. Rain (and snow) = fighting and struggles with the relationship. he says 'now we're so used to the rain', meaning, they are so used to fighting. but that rain will only bring them closer to the coast, aka, fighting will only make their relationship stronger. I dunno just my thoughts on it. it's chucked full of imagery that's one thing i do know for sure. |

honestly this song is quite confusing. however im pretty sure i got it! I think the guy is pretty mischievous for lack of a better word. He used to date a girl who seemed to be the only one to hold him down. They were obviously in love, but his curiosity got the best of him. As much as he'd like to commit he knows that he can't. So the song is talking about him fighting his love for her. She obviously loves him! In one line she says, "say you loved me, cuz i cant live like you do." and he said i don't belong in your dreams...
Just an idea! non the less an amazing song. |
