and actually, the words toora loora have been used to refer to a women's breasts (yeah i think that fits in this song) or just as filler words. they don't have a clear meaning, except in that their sound is comforting to babies, hence why its used alot in irish lullabies. |

actually that's basically what this song is about. its concerning the young men (generically named johnny) who when to war in Ireland. it originated in the 19th century when Irish troops served the British East India Company. they were used mostly as fodder troops. that's what serving the British got our ancestors. |

i will. Rammstein knows what's going on. Our culture and influence is too widespread. Look at our culture. For the most part, American music, american-ized food, american ideas. very little do we see anything from other countries (with the exception of all the crap "Made in China"). Look at other countries; most of them speak dialects of our language, eat our food, and use things created because of american ideas. its a bit one-sided, don't you think? |

ok i have some things to say to archive. i'm sorry if i offended you with my anti-american remark. i have just noticed that over the decades we are pushing for more and more power, yet keeping a peaceable visage. also, i agree; no nation should have nuclear weapons. also, negotiations with a country that seems to defy our way of life are indeed more acceptable to war, but as we have seen in our other dealings with n. korea,negotiations are pointless, simply because logic cannot be used on illogical people. also, moving would be nice; sux though that i'm only 16 |

i was just at a summer program where german was taught as a second language, and since we only had 10 hours for the whole summer, the teacher (who's a native german) corrected any misconceptions we had during the last 2 hours. he said "i did not obey" is more of a "modern way" of saying "i said nothing". either way it means the same thing. |

ok u need to hear this from another american: we're f***ed up! i first heard this song at a summer program where german was taught to us by a native. he let us listen to the song, and then, so show that he's unbiased on this topic, let us debate the issue for an hour and a half. the debate spilled over to our dorms (we were staying at northern michigan university). i'd also like to comment on what someone said a few comments back. something about germany = warmongers. bulls***. tell me this: are they allowed to have nuclear weapons? yet our president is negotiating with the president of n. korea, which is part of the "axis of evil" |

i actually have the complete lyrics. i got them off of another site, but they were kind of jumbled, so i'm fixing them as best as i can. but i have the latin chorus:

actually, this song is also done in old spanish. look up "Padre Nuestro" on youtube and you'll find either a video from one of the final fantasy games/movies or from Hellsing. it sounds better in old spanish. kinda creepy. |
