I'm an atheist and dieing terrifies me, because like he says in the song "The End is all I can see". It's horrible for me to think that one day everything will just be over and it upsets me thinking about it actually. So this is what I take the song to mean. The fear of nothingness after you die. The fear of never getting to do or say or think anything ever again for the rest of eternity. And you may think, if you're so scared why don't you just believe in god? Well believe me, I'd love to. But I just don't find it possible. I can't believe in god, it's so impossible, whereas science has evidence and proof. But I hope I'm wrong. |

Ah, well I have the lyrics now because they came wiff the album. Yes it is people are puppets held together with string. It's "Time and again boys RACE to be men" "Impatient they start" "He drank finally drowned in his sorrow" "he could not break surface tension" "He loked in the wrong place for redemption" "I tried to anaethetize" "Turn bak the tide that drew him" So I got it mostly wrong basically.
