well at first i thought this song was about a guy being at the war and finally coming home to his girlfriend, fiance, wife, etc. who he hasn't seen in months or years. and being how there love has lasted through the seperation and the pain that came along with it. but then i also started think it might be about someone this guy loved died. and he's going to kill himself in hopes in meeting again in heaven. "i reach towards the skies, ive said my goodbyes, my heart's always with you now." seems like he's killing himself to be with the one he loves again "The stars in the night, they lend me their light to bring me closer to heaven with you" same kinda idea as before. but its hard to tell if the heaven part is meant to be taken literal. but thats just my opinion, i may be wrong, probably am. but thats what i got from this song. i love the song, thats for sure |
