This is one of those songs where I think that if I had written it and shared it with friends, I would seem either deaf or just an embarrassing excuse for a musician. Because Sufjan wrote it though, I can hear through the apparent ugliness of the whole thing and realize that only a talented musician could have written such an unpleasant piece of music. In the most encouraging way towards Sufjan ever, I couldn't have written a song this bad, for I'm not that good of a musician. Woof. |
