'Cause I know everything" The message of the song is obvious. But I almost feel like the speaker of the song has to redeem himself by cheating on her because she cheated on him. Then he makes me think about the vicious cycle, and how love means nothing to anyone these days. Its just one big game of trickery. |

Why are there no more comments on this song? It is absolutely beautiful. And for anyone who may read this who randomly clicked on this song, and you haven't heard it, please listen to it. It is a little lengthy but you won't notice. Not a bit. This song reminds me, personally, of having a really horrible weekend. And then the weekend comes and everything is okay. You're on fire, and you demand attention from people who willingly give it. You're just waiting on better days that are ahead, but until then you know you will get along just fine and live the weeks just for the weekends. I know that may not be exactly what the song is about, but that is what its about for me. Everyone should find their own meaning in songs. What a beautiful art. But please give this a hear. |

I have to admit, I did NOT like this song until I listened to it last week, probably for the 100th time, and it just clicked -- a meaning developed for me. If you can't comprehend what this song is about, please go back to first grade. Mayday Parade is not Mayday Parade anymore. They should have changed their band name when they decided to change their sound. It is obvious that this band depended on Jason for their music and success. This song is so boring and cliche. I can find about 100 other songs just like this, and that is not what Mayday Parade used to be about. I wish they could find their old sound again and stick to that. That is why I liked them, because they were different, and they were not writing shit like this. Don't get me wrong, I will still love them and their (old) music. I'm also not here to offend anyone. Oh THANK GOD someone who has some music sense! This new album is horrible. Ever since Jason left, everything has gone downhill. If you want to hear a sound similar to the OLD Mayday, then everyone should listen to Go Radio, Jason's new band. This song is growing on me, only because I can relate to it at this point in my life. I would be in the guy's shoes and not the girls. I'm the cold one who keeps it silent. But anyway, if I do develop a like for it, it won't be for long because it's so cliche and sounds like everything else on the radio. People will be forgetting about this album in a month. I can't believe no one has commented on this song. Its absolutely beautiful. I'd like to dispute the last line in the second verse. I'm pretty sure he says "I ran away" instead of "I'll run away." Personally I think this song is about being in a relationship and not knowing where to go. You know you need that person, and could never seen yourself without them yet you want to run away to someone else. Do you take that chance or just stay with the one you're with now? I can relate to this song so much because I'm in the same situation now. Also, this song could apply to a religious standpoint. You know you need God, yet you still sin and do things you shouldn't but its hard to fight temptation. |

The way this song starts out is just astounding. Aaron knows how to pull you right in. He breaks my heart at the first word and all the imagery he uses puts me in a different frame of mind. I think this song is about a girl who is in a relationship, but she's torn. She wants to break free from the bonds of a relationship, then again she doesn't want to put her significant other through any kind of pain. She needs freedom, she needs to run, she needs choices, she needs to be her own self. She doesn't know what to do with her heart or with the love she has for her significant other. She's scared of what she's feeling and she doesn't know what to do. She's assessing the relationship and is trying to figure out what went wrong and when. This is exactly my situation now. It fits me to a t. This is why I love Copeland. |

I can't figure out who or what I want this song to be about. That's what I like about this song -- it makes me think. I wish Hayley would say something about who she wrote this about and I wish everyone would stop interviewing her about "Decode." I'm so over that song... well except the acoustic version now. I think this song is much better. At first when I heard this song I thought it was about Edward, but I was only on "Twilight." I wasn't aware of what else was coming. I mean, Edward was always leaving her breathless and he was hypnotic. At the time it made sense. Now I this it's about Bella's feelings for Jacob. However, I just finished the third book and I'm about the start the fourth. The song is all about confusion of feelings. From Bella's point of view, who does she chose? She keeps being pulled down by Jacob, getting confused, thinking things she shouldn't be, not believing in Jacob, knowing in her heart its not him (but Ed instead) etc. And then there is Edward. Poor Edward... he doesn't know what he wants either. He's tired of hurting Bella and he wants her to be happy. However, he's in a bind because she won't be happy without him, yet he keeps hurting her. However, I don't see how "I know in my heart it's not you" fits his thoughts. Ahhh, who knows? |

| I don't understand how someone is saying these songs are literal. If these songs were literal, then these events would LITERALLY be happening. This song is believable but the others on the album are totally not. That's the point of metaphors; (which if you are a SA fan you should know Max uses them religiously) they disguise the truth, give it a new face so to speak, and you have to figure out the truth and what message the metaphor is hiding. I've read a lot of the comments on here, and a lot of you have so many touching stories. I feel like I can relate in some way to each of you that have shared something. I was just now watching the video. Every time I watch it, I just cry and cry. I think about my parents. My dad had to watch my mother die of cancer. You wouldn't believe how much he loved her. They shared such a true love. My mom passed away, then he did only two years later. He had a stroke but I believe he died of a broken heart. I had to watch her die too though. I always went with her to the hospital. I remember the doctors and the nurses. I remember her having to go through radiation and how sick she would be. I would say that love really is watching someone die. I never gave up on her and she never gave up on me. I will always love her and my dad more than words or a song can say. |

"Dizzy" is my favorite song off the new album. I can't get enough of it. It brings me to tears because this lyrics fit perfectly to my present situation with a guy. It completely fits the awkwardness of our situation and I've finally found a song to fit how I'm feeling. I'm sure my interpretation may not be right, but then again whose is? "You close your eyes and kiss your hand, then you blow it, but it isn't meant for me, and I noticed. If the choice was ours alone, then why'd we both choose letting go? Does it end like this?" --Maybe the girl is seeing someone else. She doesn't have the same feelings for the guy in her past, and is ready for move on to the guy who has her attention now, in the present. "Time never had a chance to heal your heart. Just a number always counting down to a new start. If you always knew the truth then the world will spin around you. Are you dizzy yet?" --The girl's heart is still damaged from previous relationships, yet she still chose to jump into a new relationship. Everyone knows thats relationship suicide. He's "just a number" and she knew it but didn't want to admit it. He's bitter towards her for it. Her world is "spinning" and out of control. "Respectfully, so in honesty I'm calling out. Do you hear the conversation we talk about? I'll back away to the safety of a quiet house. If there's half a chance in this moment when your eyes meet mine, we show it off." --He just wants the truth when they talk to each other about their relationship. Until she's ready he'll back off but reminds her when their eyes meet there is something between them. Maybe she's not ready or doesn't want to admit they have a connection between them. "All talk and not a lot to think, we're living dreams. And shame never crept close to our naked feet. If there's something left to lose then don't let me wear out my shoes that I still walk in." --They're living in a dream world, putting on a show in public but problems lie beneath their facade. The "shame" and "naked feet" makes me think they were stronger in the physical side of their relationship as opposed to the emotional side. When it comes to the "shoes" he doesn't want to lose her AND the "shoes." I think it's his way of saying don't wear out his heart, let him use it and keep it strong for someone else. He doesn't want to end up like her. "I tried, but it rang and rang, I called all night. On a pay phone, remember those from another life? If everything I meant to you you can't lick and seal then fold in two then I've been so blind." --He's done his best to contact her, but she doesn't answer. They obviously have communication problems as stated in another verse. He knows she may not be good at talking about or explaining her feelings, but if she can't at least write them in a letter, fold it in two, send it in an envelope to him then he feels like he's been a fool. He knows that he should have gotten out before he was in too deep. [Chorus] "Aw, aw take it all back, take your first, your last, your only. Aw, aw take it all back, take it all back, everything you showed me. Aw, aw this must be how it feels and the feeling goes on..." --He wants her to take back everything that's hers because he doesn't want her kisses, hugs, words, love, nothing. Being that this is his first time dealing with this kind of situation he's reflecting on it by saying "Oh, so this is how it feels." and the feeling never ceases. "I told you as I haven't, I never felt this way. You said I have the shot that stops my clock. Baby it's okay. You said you never have regrets. Jesus, is there someone yet who got that wish? Did you get yours, babe?" --The guy has never been in this situation before, and may not know what to do. As far as the shot... I'm not sure. Maybe she's saying that she has what it takes to end the relationship. She says she never regrets anything, and he's wanting to know does she really think people go through life with absolutely no regrets. I think it's his way of saying she's naive, and is she sure she doesn't regret anything that happened while they were together or what she's about to do. [Chorus] Sorry this is so long. |
