"don't shine before swine" definitely. Am I the only one who has ever heard this expression before? My mother used to say it to me when I would get harassed by other girls at school. It basically means, don't try to look your best (shine) for stupid people (swine, pigs) who don't deserve you at your best. |

something I can definitely relate to right now. "I don't like the steps I took to get to look into your deepest feelings." I think hes talking about the entire span of the relationship. It wasnt until they broke up that he realized how she really felt. I think that maybe he really hurt this girl. He talks about the confusion after a break up. The point where we ask ourselves, "ok so what now..." he feels like has no control over what to do next, now that hes on his own. in the chorus he talks about how he doesnt mind and hes just fine, but she isnt. Maybe hes trying to say that when they broke up, yea it was bad but it didnt really bother him. he got over it and she didnt so I know that it sounds stupid (but Im going thru this too so it kinda makes sense to me):but i think that maybe he feels bad....about not feeling bad. When he says "I guess Ill just curl up and die too" hes letting the girl know that he still loves her enough to understand how crappy she feels. And he kinda wishes he felt the same...but the only problem is that he doesnt. |

This song doesn't seem all that sexual if u think of it a bit differently. It seems to me like these 2 had a really complicated relationship and broke up. Then they went into one of those really bitter break up stages and they are constantly messing with eachother, for example, trying ot make each other jealous: "It makes me burn to learn You’re with another man I wonder if he’s half The lover that I am" and doesnt it seem that even though they "never want to see each other again" they just won't let it go. haha but...the twist at the end is that as bitter as they are towards eachother, they both want eacother back badly: "Take me back, but take it easy Make me think but don’t deceive me" that just how i see it agree or disagree |

When i first listened to this song after school on my friends mp3, it kinda woke me up. this is what I REALIZED: I realized that my best friend could be the love of my life and I didn't want to miss out, or look back and regret never taking the chance. ok....so when i listen to this song the same picture always comes to mind: i see 2 guys and one girl both guys REALLY love this gurl, but the girl loves one more than the other but is afraid of losing the other so the other guy decides that if he loves this girl so much...shell let go of her and let her be happy with the other guy becuz if shes happy, hes happy |
