this song is 100% a George Orwell 1984 reference. READ IT!!!! It isn't the only one on the album either. Trent Reznor is smart, I'm sure he's read it, you should do the same. Big brother is watching! |

| Marilyn Manson – Disposable Teens Lyrics

first Marilyn Manson song that I ever heard. gotta give my props! badass wicked energetic! also I heard it right after I found out that my mom tried to abort me. "Survived abortion" yeah that one stuck. I also found it important that he says "I never really hated the one true God but the God of the people I hated." This shows that although people tend to see him as being satanic, he's not so much against God as he is against organized religion. Think about it! If you go through and analyze all of his songs that sound anti-Christian, they are really just opposed to the way that religious groups operate. hypocrisy, corruption, greed and so forth. Brian Warner is a brilliant man!!! |

| Marilyn Manson – Are You the Rabbit? Lyrics

this song just has so much energy. I love the allusions to driving! The rabbit thing is not only the "rabbit in the headlights" concept but also obviously connected to Alice in Wonderland. "Faster, faster... I'm late I'm late" remember how the white rabbit is always worried that he's late? It's just so relatable. Come on how many time have you forgotten where you parked your car? "I love you, can't afford you. I'll take a cab to the funeral." It just really hit me. I love cars and I love Marilyn Manson! |
