Such a powerful song, seriously. First heard it on the radio in my year 9 class and everyone felt the emotion of the song. As we all felt the emotion everyone was turning around and saying 'I love you mate'. Haha. Even now when you listen to it, it's so powerful. |

No shit. This song is deep and completely reflects on how this girl was 'My Everything'. Pretty much everything he says is so true for me. Geez, talk about deep.
Also, I wish 'Bruttobella' would fix the title. It's 'You Were My Everything' hence the spelling of 'Were' not 'Where'. |

What a song...just so touching.
Heard Peter Gabriel's version first and was amazed by it. Joseph Arthur's is quite refreshing. I do know that this is the original.
This song was so relevant to me a few summer's ago. As a girl I truly loved left me. She was my world. As it's a deep song it fits as well as the opening line "I picture you in the sun wondering what went wrong" as in the summer. Well, that's what it means to me. |
