Hmm..I say this song would have to be about a girl who has a dream of building a device made for flying. so she tells other people what they think (of they just find out) they become over whelmed and obviously doubt her "you're not the first to dream this, little girl. You know it's never happened once in this world" pt.2 She ignores all of the nay-sayers, and does WHAT SHE BELIEVES and succeeds in building her dreamed creation "She never did what they told her to" and now she's flying high up in the clouds away from all the doubters "Now she flies over clouds in twilight skies. Aiden are amazing...i would have to guess this song is about being in a asylum, lonely, put on medicines and getting judged and told by the outside people that you're "insane" or "sick in the head". maybe that is the anger of the line "fuck you and all of your friends" ? Does anyone else have any takes on the meaning? maybe it's just expression...that aside, this is one hell of an amazing fuckin album. |

I came across this information about this song when exploring google: Proud To Be", which, against the backdrop of the Iraq war, Danielsen sings in the character of an unquestioning, arrogant redneck. "These songs are bubbling with sarcasm," Danielsen admits. "There's an attitude amongst some Americans that we're the shit and we're gonna take on the whole world. I like this country and I'm proud to be a part of this country, but I'm not proud to be a part of that side of the country."..and holy shit you have to be really dumb and/or close minded too not catch on with the sarcasmn in this song. the cody skit before it is kinda weird, dude sounds kind of annoying but that has nothing to do with this.. |

I was reading about this album and stumbled upon this: "God's Army" continues Danielsen's sideways look at organized religion, rooted in his childhood experiences with his devoutly religious mother, and pours scorn on politicians who use faith as a manipulative tool. | WOW FIRST COMMENT, HELL YEAH!! i feel so honored..i can't believe noone has commented on this song yet, its so great..as for the meaning..i would have to say...it may be about losing someone/something and being totally depressed about it , wandering around the house watching the sun go down..and watching the moon come up..and kind of repeating the same shit..feeling better in the early morning about things but then slowly shifting back into the negative feelings as the moon comes up, repeating the same shit...thats just how i kind of see it...please someone else post your thoughts as well..oh yeah as a tribute to this wonderful song, i named my first songmeanings account name after this song.
