again...I am a sucker for a Hammond Organ and a Leslie.
I was thinking that this song may be a little more literal. Is it about drinking? I thought that I read somewhere that Dev had a problem with drinkning at one point. I could be way off base, and have my wires crossed...i don't know. |

just got the full album last night...and i have to say i like.

I agree with those above. Fickle, foolish intraracial sterotypes. Though Dev comes across as a joker, this is a pretty deep song. |

I think that "Swallowing all the bowl by their orders" should be "Swallowing all the bull, by the horns". Ehh? Maybe? Thats just what I heard while listening to it. |

Though I don't necessarily agree with the political undertones, musically this is probably my favorite album of the year. Sam is definately the king of layering music. |

Was Rice influenced by Nina Simone? This is probably pure coincidence, but Nina Simone's song, "Wild as the Wind"(though not originally performed by her), could almost be the woman's side of the story. The piano in the end of both songs is eerily similar. If you listen to "Wild as the Wind" with Rice's song in mind, it may actually make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. |
