| The Cure – The End of the World Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| the machine thing... i don't understand it, i think once someone tells you to look for the things in a song, you hear them. same with the stairway to heaven thing... the satanic messages... when you hear the playback of the record and see the words at the same time, it seems as if the sounds form the words on the screen. it's all got to do with how you see it... | |

i think it's about time, earth, life, etc decaying. "cover me with earth..." implies that everything (perhaps even himself) is dying, obviously when you are buried your coffin is covered with earth. "movement, no movement, just a falling bird, cold as it hits the bleeding ground." not only humans are dying out but so are animals and such... "the bleeding ground" means that the earth is rotting too... it's kind of self explanatory, hence the fact that if you're bleeding you can be dying or injured. in this case, it would be dying. here i think that he might be writing about the world eventually falling apart. i have seen where it says that Robert said it was about a drug. he also could have been hallucinating, while he was on this drug, that the world was falling apart and he was as well... it could be either. |

i think this song is either about he likes someone but he can't get them to feel the same way about him as he does for her... or he lost a love. he's trying to make himself happier by thinking of happy memories. |

| The Cure – The Blood Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| it's about wine Robert had called The Blood Of Christ. i'm debating on if he got drunk or not... since he was "paralyzed" by it... | |
| The Cure – Boys Don't Cry Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is obvious. It's about a break up or a heartbreak. He obviously treated her badly, or used her... and now she broke up with him. He realizes his mistakes and he wants her back but she doesn't want to get back with him... and he's implying that saying sorry isn't enough. | |

I don't understand how this could be with a prostitute, because I believe he was with Mary since he was 14. I'm not saying you guys are wrong, I'm just stating I don't understand... and I'm just thinking logically. However I do believe it's about prostitution (I'm not sure that it's about Robert having sex with a prostitute). I think prostitution symbolizes how sex can be disgusting and vulgar, and how emotional it is. And "I don't need you anymore" is the prostitute saying that since they're done having sex, he means nothing more to him than a shag... maybe not even that. There's my two cents [: |

| Listening to this song, I think it's about drugs. Like... "I know tomorrow, I'll feel bad... but I really couldn't care about that..." it almost sounds like he is trying a kind of drug for the first time. Also, it sounds like he's either having sex or is going to have sex. | |

Okay... it definately IS NOT about child molestation or abuse, and it's not about oral sex. It's about a dream Robert Smith had that kept coming back. He said it himself. I can understand where you're coming from with the addiction thing, and all the things he's talking about in the song resemble an addiction. Cure songs are usually not about what you think they are. |

i think this song is about... how you want so many things, and still, you'll never get enough. you won't be satisfied. like the line "but however hard i want, i know deep down inside i'll never really get more hope or any more time..." it sounds like he's saying with all the things you want, you might not get any good out of it. that's what i always thought it meant. |

this song gives me chills every time i hear it. it's a song about a breakup. the couple just realizes that their relationship isn't like it used to be... and the girl still thinks that he's going to call, and he doesn't. so i always thought it was more of the boy that thought the relationship wasn't working anymore... and the girl was just kind of left in the dark... it's a horrible feeling. |
