Colin Hay – Maggie Lyrics 18 years ago
I always thought that she got in with the wrong crowd and became a heroin junky and it eventually killed her, thus the reason of why she is so thin.

Sponge – Molly (Sixteen Candles) Lyrics 18 years ago
I don't think she's dead because she starts to smile when he touches her. This song to me was always about an older guy deflowering a younger girl. I always thought "On your note is my reply" was "No you don't is my reply."
I just went back and listened to the song and I can't tell. It could go either way. Dammit, Vinnie, annunciate!

Sponge – New Pop Sunday Lyrics 18 years ago
I always thought it was about the couple getting an abortion and then not being able to cope with the fallout from it and breaking up. The lines about unprotected sex and the doctors aren't really hard to find is where I glean this from but sometimes I have a habit of taking a few lines and concocting a story from them. This is definitely a song of regret.

Sponge – 1,000 Times Lyrics 18 years ago
Another "pine the days away" song waiting for your love to come back or to you. I'm sucker for these types of songs.

Sponge – Live Here Without You Lyrics 18 years ago
I'll Third the motion set forth by Creeds and emo. Sponge is one of the most underrated bands to come out of the nineties. The album New Pop Sunday is one of my favorites, and this song is one of the great "pine away the days" until your love comes back to you: "Time is killing me and I'm killing nothing but time."

Reverend Horton Heat – Galaxy 500 Lyrics 18 years ago
No comments on this yet? I'll skip the meaning of this song since it's obvious and say that this song is the epitome of Rev. Horton Heat. The scream is so jarring compared to the slow intro and really wakes you up before the drums and bass run you over.
