| Fugazi – Margin Walker Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song is about a stalker obsessed with someone | |
| The Velvet Underground – Sunday Morning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I find it ridiculous how many people think this is a happy song. But that's the awesome fact, it sounds so sweet and mellow you don't pay attention to the lyrics, if you take a closer look you'll see it's all about depression and - of course - heroin | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – First It Giveth Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I like to think this song is about life in general. Life gives you everything, but at the end it takes it all away. So the whole lyrics are a remark about living and knowing that "time goes by, tables turn" until life claims back all that was given to us. Not necessarily in a negative way, I think it's more like "I acknowledge that" | |

Am I the only one who thinks this song kicks Nirvana's ass? It sounds just like Nirvana, before Nirvana. I don't understand why nobody paid attention to this song and just one year later everybody went crazy for Smells Like Teen Spirit. I like Nirvana, but they practically stole everything from The Pixies and nobody cares. Pixies > Nirvana |

| Kyuss – Hurricane Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think the meaning is clear, the song is about apathy and emptiness | |
| Peter Gabriel – Intruder Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I love the sexy creepiness of this song. It makes me think both of a burglar and a man who gets sexually aroused by watching the victim as she lies in her bed and smelling her dresses. It's probably both. |

This song is about falling into apathy and feeling that you're slowly fading away. He doesn't even try to fit into the world because, who fuckin' cares when you're so low? "There is no you, there is only me" looks like he's telling "I don't care about you, I am the only one here" |

| Queens of the Stone Age – Era Vulgaris Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think it's "I eat the food when it's dead", not "there" | |
| R.E.M. – You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Monster is one of their best albums, and the best they did in the 90s (along with Automatic For The People) | |
| John Frusciante – Chances Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I don't know, like many of his songs this is open to all kinds of interpretations... Personally I think it's about taking chances in life before it's too late "Chances come and chances go", you have to take your chances because life it's about possibilities "I'm not someone on whom to rely" sounds like he's saying "don't take me too seriously, have your opinion" There's also a sad, melancholic feeling about death and the end of everything "This is the time to die", "I'm almost where I'll never be" are pretty obvious from this point of view "A line that falls to the floor, and I'm not me anymore", a life that ends. When life ends, you end being someone and then yourself It kinda makes me cry, it has a bitter taste but at the same time it's sweet and comforting But maybe I'm just a bit emo and this song is way happier than what I think it is haha |
