I was listning to this song on a web sight and there is a version where he starts out by saying "by the rives of Babalon where we wept as we remembered songs of zion. j if I forget you let my right hand forget its skill and my tongue stick to its plaet." Any one know what album that comes from? it is also a bit more up tempo.I just found out about this band but I love them already.

Well not to interrupt this argument but to me it sounds to me that the singer is trying to encourage someone he knows to step out of their comfort zone and take a chance for once. Will you stay where it is safe and comfortable but your trapped or will you say screw this Im out and I can do it on my own?

This song is awesome. I think it could be the stalker obsession thing but I also think it could be that the singer is saying that if the girl would just give him a chance that they would be great together and that she would really love him if she gave him that shot. I know the window part makes it sound like hes outside in her bushes watching her but it may be a metaphor for feeling like he is able to see her but is still separated from her. IDK, just a thought.

This song reminds me so much of stuff Ive been through. I have a thing for people who hav problems and trying to fix them (often times to my own detriment). I have had some of these "friends" try to take advantage of me and in the end I realized they never wanted to be fixed they wanted sympathy and someone to be an enabler to their behavior and they started taking me down the same path. To get out I had to stop caring, very hard to do, and realise that there were more people out there that I could be helping instead of waisting my time on this one person that didnt want to be helped.

This kinna sounds like a friend of mine. She grew up in an abusive home("Does anyone knock when they barge in to beat her down?") and even tho she is out of that it still messes around with her head in the day to day. It just sounds like this girl has had so much disappointment from people who were sposed to love her that she has a hard time being around people without being self conscious ("She asks them to vacate the building.Because she's got a plan they don't know yet.And if it goes wrong, there'll be no one to see") because she feels she has to be perfect. She wants to know if the people in her life that she is begining to trust will really be there for her or if they will leave her in the end too like everyone else.("Will you come back? It's all she wants to know")

It reminds me of a situation I am currently in. These two really care about each other but the singer knows it would be wrong and is trying to fight the infatuation he has for her and tell her that they wouldn't work out. I had to do that same thing last night. Its hard.
