| The lyrics are so simple yet have so much meaning. I imagine a lot of people can relate to this song at one time or another. | |

I relate this song to a friend I used to have.... She hurt everyone around her except for herself (Why didn't it hurt you when you cut yourself? How come there's no blood coming from those wounds?) Everything was always going good for her while everyone else suffered. (What the fuck did you think I was pointing my finger at? My see-through-hero, You can't block the bullets I'm going to shoot at you.) Basically I stood up for myself and left her in her own misery. Anywho wicked song. I heard it on a friends Myspace and was hooked. |

Hmm looks like Im the only person who doesn't like this song so much. It's just so cliche, liking something in the beginning, but hating it in the end. On the other hand, I listen to the song to hear the last lines "So you've lost, my friend, such a sorry end, and I don't know why, So I choke and smile, SMILE" --- that makes me think of myself when I know I should speak up (when my friends are doing something stupid that they will regret) but being scared to do so. Therefore I just bite my tongue and let them make their mistakes... |

Mmkay I think this song is about being w/ a whore or prostitute while trying to forget about the girl he cares about because the girl he cares about isn't good for him. "Let the fun and games begin, She is spayed and broken in"--- He's about to be w/ the whore (refer. to being broken in) "Such a lovely, lonely night"--- Although he's with this girl he has no connection to her, it's just physical "you could feel the hate, but I guess you never will, I'm on a roll again, and I want an end cause I feel you creeping in"--- He's still angry at the girl he cares about, but she'll never know because she's not around him anymore "What I've found in this town, I'm heading for a breakdown, What's that sound? You're so loud. I'm heading for a breakdown"--- Obviously he's still dealing w/ the emotions this girl cause him. She's loud in a sense that she had a big effect on this life and his decisions. "Drank up all my alcohol, This is not a free for all, I'll be here for you, Till my heart is black and blue"--- Its not a free for all because he doesn't want to be used or hurt again, but he knows he'll always be there for her. |

The second time they go into the chorus and the line "I'm losing you again" is drawn out is my absolute favorite part of a BB song. Ben sounds so DESPERATE when he sings it. I know that there are references to Bens fear of flying in this song but I can relate to it in another way also. I think of my former best friend. She screwed up several times and I took the blame, and even the guilt (hence :I will clean your fucking mess And leave no trace of evidence). But after everything I still couldn't imagine losing her as a friend because I didn't think either of us were strong enough. "Shelter me from this again" makes me think of my loyalty as a friend, sticking by even tho I knew I'd end up hurt again. |

To whoever asked if any of the members had a drinking problem, the answer is yes. Ben has been sober now for over 8 months. And to the person that said "We are all prisoners" couldn't relate to the ex-drummer I disagree. Im sure that being sued for 8 million dollars stressed the band out and caused other problems. Therefore they were somewhat prisoners of Jeremys actions at the time. |
