Hello, yeah i completly agree with what your saying :) When John wrote the song he simply just expressed what he was feeling at that moment in time. That was just what he did no matter how agressive or horrible it was. It don't mean he didnt practice what he preached with peace and that like what some people think, just in that moment in time he felt the way he did and later on he moved on from that and made up with Paul! :D And like how every human is, we expirience agression, John just chose to make a song about it. PPEEEAAACCCE :) |

| I never thought of the song in that way before. That makes alot of sense. It reminded me of noah's ark because the part of the song "the fool on the hill sees the sun going down, and the eyes in his head sees the sun going down" to me i saw this as someone having some sort of knoledge of the world that no body else is aware of and think of it as a silly idea so refure to him as the fool on the hill. Which from this i could strongly connect to Noah's ark which is exactly the same idea where noah knew he should build an ark because the world would be flooded and no one else believed him refurring to him as a fool plus he built the ark on top of a hill! But your idea is also and probably even more stongly and meaningful! | |

This song has always reminded me of "Noah's Ark" God said to Noah to build an ark because there was going to be a flood to wipe out thr entire world. So Noah began to build the ark on top of a hill/mountain. Noah warned others about what he was told, but everyone just laughed, refuring him as "the fool on the hill". His family also weren't very supportive. Eventully Noah completed his ark, he pursuaded his family and got two of every animal on the ark. A terrible storm broke out and flooded the entire world. Every one and every thing drowned all except noah, his family and the animals on the ark. |
